Distance Education/Online Library Resources and Services

Sherrod Library resources and services for Distance Education/Online students, faculty, and staff.

Request Home Delivery

Distance education, online students, faculty, and staff who live more than 30 miles from ETSU's main campus may request books, CDs, and DVDs to be mailed to their home address free of charge. The borrower is responsible for return shipping in time for the library to receive the item(s) by their due date(s).

In 2020, Sherrod Library began sending physical books and media to distance students via USPS Priority Mail to ensure timely delivery. Distance students can return these items by mail; through a nearby public library that participates in Firefly, the statewide courier service; or drop them off on campus in the library or its outside book returns (available 24/7). Distance students are informed of return options via email in the delivery address validation step of request processing.

Laptops and hotspots must be returned either by USPS Priority Mail Campus Box 70665 or on campus in the library or its outside book returns (available 24/7).
