Extend Your Research with Interlibrary Loan

What is Interlibrary Loan?

The Sherrod Library Interlibrary Loan service provides access to materials not held in ETSU library collections to currently enrolled students, current employees, and faculty emeriti for all colleges in the University except the Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy.  Libraries around the world share their collections with you!

What is Document Delivery?

The Sherrod Library Document Delivery service scans articles and book chapters owned by the ETSU library and delivers them to you via email in PDF format.  Simply request using your ILLiad account.

What is ILLiad?

ILLiad is the electronic system you use to request an item through Interlibrary Loan. The name ILLiad can be thought of as an acronym for InterLibrary Loan internet accessible database.

Requests for Physical Material

Due to COVID-19, we can no longer obtain physical material from other libraries (as many are closed or working remotely). There may be material already ordered that will come in during this time, and we will notify you as usual with information on how to pick up the material.  Requesting will resume April 6, 2020. We are still able to process requests for the electronic delivery of book chapters.  Please contact us if you any questions about these changes or any ILL issues at libloan@etsu.edu.
