Reporting to the Dean of University Libraries, this position focuses on vision, team-building, organization, and planning. This position will also direct, mentor, and support the faculty and staff responsible for the Sherrod Library’s services and collections. The Associate Dean for Services, Technologies, and Collections will lead the library departments of Research & Instructional Services and Technology & Content Services, comprised of 25 FTE (faculty and staff). The Associate Dean directly supervises five faculty and one professional staff, each of whom serves as an operations director or coordinator. The portfolio includes oversight of the library’s $1.5 million collections and $360,000 technologies budgets.
As a member of the library faculty, this position partners with university faculty in the arts and humanities disciplines to promote information and visual/data literacy through instruction, creation of resources (tutorials, LibGuides, etc.), and research support.
