Winter Break Closure

Innovation Commons will be closed starting December 14th for Winter Break. We will reopen for the Spring Semester starting January 21st.

During this time we will still accommodate tour, instruction, and 3D print requests when possible. If you have any questions, please contact innovation@etsu.edu. 

What is the Innovation Commons?
The Innovation Commons is a new digital media and maker hub located on the 2nd floor of Sherrod Library. You don't need previous experience to use our spaces, equipment, and technology to create innovative projects. Our staff is here to support you and your next project.

Makerspace 212

Ignite your creativity in the Makerspace with 3D printing & scanning, laser engraving, vinyl cutting, sewing, and button making equipment.

Studio 205

Our studio is equipped with six high-end digital media workstations loaded with the latest adobe and maya software. In addition, our professional sound booth allows for recording podcasts and voiceovers. 

Virtual Reality

Experience immersive learning with Transfr VR, a career training and readiness simulation program, and Organon 3D, an interactive anatomy software. These VR technologies provide unique opportunities for hands-on learning and exploration.

Academic Support

We welcome ETSU instructors from all academic programs and majors to bring your class to Innovation Commons. We can help partner with you to develop activities that meet your learning objectives and engages your students.
