Sherrod Library Building & Services Fall 2020

The Sherrod Library building will reopen to visitors on August 3, 2020 with limited hours until the Fall 2020 semester begins. On-site and online services available and guidelines for use are described here. Visit Library Updates and News  for the most current informaton.

Do not enter the building if you

1. have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.
2. are experiencing a cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat.
3. have had a fever in the last 48 hours.
4. have had new loss of taste or smell.
5. have had vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours.

if you have any of these symptoms, please stay outside and call the University Health Center at 423-439-4225 for assistance.

Guidelines for All Building Visitors

• All building visitors are responsible for their own behavior and are expected to comply with ETSU's COVID-19 Policy on Face Coverings, maintain social distancing, sanitize equipment (e.g., computer keyboards, mice, work surfaces) before use, and comply with posted signs.
• One person at a time on elevators is recommended to maintain social distancing.
• Entry and access to computer labs, study rooms (all single occupancy), open study areas, and open collections is unrestricted.
• Food and drink is restricted. Review the policy on the Food and Drink page.

Library Guest Access

From August 3, 2020 until further notice, applications for Library Guest cards require approval by the Sherrod Library Dean. Library Guest cardholders will not have access to the library from November 22 through December 13, 2020.
