The Sherrod Library would like to extend a hearty congratulations to Dr. Wendy Doucette, recipient of the University Graduate School's Graduate Service Award. This well-deserved award recognizes achievement in supporting and promoting graduate education. In the nomination for her "Graddy," Doucette is described as an invaluable asset whose work with ETSU's Grad Student Boot Camp has been pivotal in the maintenance of a graduate support system. Her targeted workshops assist students in major research projects from start to finish. When students are struggling to finish their theses or dissertations, Doucette is ready to answer the call, partnering with other Boot Camp team members to help get them across the finish line. "I’m surprised and delighted to win this award!" Doucette said. "As a reference librarian, I was particularly moved by the public acknowledgement of work that is often unseen because it happens in confidential sessions with students. The Graduate School is consistently my best campus partner, and it really does mean a lot to be acknowledged as a valued member of the team."

In addition to this award, Doucette was also honored at this year's Tennessee Library Association Conference for her contributions to the furtherance of librarianship across the state of Tennessee.

Congratulations, once again to Dr. Doucette. Her presence at the Sherrod Library is a boon to graduate students throughout the ETSU community.
