ETSU has a rich range of official sport teams and clubs.
Students may also participate in free intramural sport teams, such as flag football, soccer, softball, ping pong, pickleball, tennis, volleyball, and more (registration required).

Johnson City has some wonderful parks and recreation areas, which range from flat, domestic parks for easy strolls to rugged mountaintops and trails.

Downtown Johnson City is filled with restaurants, a Farmer's Market, and entertainment year-round.
