The Sherrod Library Celebrates the Spookiest of Seasons: Halloween in the Library

The Sherrod Library invites the whole of the ETSU community to celebrate Halloween this year, with a day of events both spooky and sweet. The first event of the day, the inaugural Library Trick or Treat, will begin at 11am and run until 2pm. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes and bring a bag so they can get the full trick or treat experience. Weather depending, a welcome table will be located outside, providing a station guide. Inside, participants will be given the opportunity to do a full tour of the building, with a variety of stations representing different collections, services, and departments on every floor.

After the Trick or Treat, stick around for the annual favorite, Ghost Stories in the Plaza. This event, which runs from 5-7pm, is the perfect thing to get you in the Halloween mood, with hot beverages and scary stories told as the sun goes down. This year, expect to hear stories from ETSU storytelling champions like Nancy Donoval and Dr. Delanna Reed, and maybe prepare something yourself for the brief open mic session at the end of the event! All events are free and open to all ETSU affiliates, no registration required.
