Exciting news—beginning on Monday, May 1st Sherrod Library’s current interlibrary loan system, ILLiad, will changeover to a more enhanced, user-friendly product called Rapido. Rapido is a next-generation resource sharing system that provides a seamless experience for patrons (that’s you!) to request articles, book chapters, & books, etc. that are not owned here at Sherrod from other libraries around the world! Requesting an interlibrary loan through Rapido is easy and free for ETSU students, faculty, and staff—once you have found the resource you need on our library website (libraries.etsu.edu), if it is not available through our physical or digital collections here at Sherrod, you will see the Rapido request option in blue.

Look for more detailed instructions on using Rapido for interlibrary loan and document delivery, as well as an updated frequently asked questions section coming soon on our ILL page here. Lastly, while our team has been hard at work doing everything possible to ensure a smooth transition, if you do encounter issues requesting an interlibrary loan during the changeover period, please contact us at libloan@etsu.edu and we will be more than happy to assist you.
Please note: the discontinuation of ILLiad will result in the loss of previous ILL request data for patrons. If you need a list of your ILL request history, please email us at libloan@etsu.edu before April 30th.
