What is Button Making?

Button making is the process of creating buttons using a button maker machine, which can also make magnets, keychains, and more. We have button machines here at Innovation Commons in a variety of sizes.

How can I use the Button Machine in the Makerspace?

  • For safety purposes, use of the button machine requires an orientation by one of our Innovation Commons staff.
  • No previous experience is required.
  • Advance reservation is encouraged. Walk-ins are accepted pending staff and equipment availability.
  • Due to the vast differences in button sizes and materials, we do not allow outside materials to be brought in.
  • Designs for buttons can be brought in ahead of time and trimmed using our cutter.
