What is Sublimation Printing?

Sublimation Printing is a type of print that uses heat and pressure to transfer a design onto a material by turning special inks into a gas which then permeates the material. This is often use on fabrics like polyester and promotional materials.

How can I use the Sublimation Printer in the Makerspace?

  • To optimize supplies and ensure correct usage, Epson F570 Sublimation Printer is a mediated service.
  • Design work can be done before the reservation. 
  • Innovation Commons provides 17 inch and 24 inch compatible paper.

How much does it cost?

  • Students are provided one sublimation print at no cost (per semester).
  • Sublimation supplies such as mugs, keychains, mousepads, and coasters may be available. Students are allocated one of these products at no cost.
  • Students may bring sublimation compatible products into the Makerspace, but we do not guarantee a perfect print or transfer.
  • Supplies and allotments are subject to change.
